Family Music for Ages 4-7
Over 150 musical activities introduce your child to the fundamentals of singing, rhythm, composition, creative movement, music notation, dynamic markings, and more! Sequential classes for music and movement add exciting new skill layers to your child's musical foundation! Building ensembles and reading-writing musical notation are at the heart of these endearing classes.
Family Music for Mixed Ages
Bring the whole family together around charming songs, dances and rhymes that are sure to fill your day with joy while giving your children the benefits of early childhood music education for ages 1-5! Over 100 musical activities in repeatable classes give you easy access to the benefits of early music education for all of your young children. The class series includes special 5 minute and 10 minute classes designed for parents on the go!
Family Music for Preschoolers
Online music classes for your preschooler include over 70 structured activities for musical play. Activities include poetry, movement exploration, introduction to major and minor tonalities, tonal and rhythm pattern echoes, an introduction to duple and triple meter, and imaginative, musical storytelling. Your preschooler will gain a strong musical foundation as you engage in these classes together!
Family Music for Babies & Toddlers
Classes for early childhood Music connect your child's love for musical play with age appropriate learning for musical development. Over 70 class activities engage your baby newborn to twenty four months in interactive musical play! Rhythm, vocal, and movement exploration give your child a solid start on the path to music literacy.
Family Music for Christmas
Celebrate the wonder of the season with beloved carols, songs, poems, stories and more. You and your child infant to age 8 will create priceless memories together as you make Family Music for Christmas a part of your favorite time of the year.
Family Materials
Essential to your child's success in class are the Musikgarten Family Materials that accompany each class level. The parent books provide lyrics and additional activities for musical play. The CDs/digital downloads provide fully orchestrated music to strengthen your child's musicianship, focused listening skills and deepen the class experience. Once you join Musik at Home, you'll be receive an email with all the information you need to select the family materials that go along with your child's class level.
I Love Note Reading
This class series is your child's invitation to begin reading music. The curriculum covers seven famous folksongs. For each song, instructor, Kathryn Brunner, will be taking you and your child through the necessary steps to understand how to audiate the tonal and rhythm patterns for each song and then find the patterns on the staff. In addition, more activities are included to develop your child's musicianship including dictation exercises (writing the notes on the staff), reading the music from the actual score, and playing card games with all of the melodic and rhythmic values.

Hi there! I'm Kathryn Brunner, M.A. I'm an early childhood music educator. I am passionate about child development and music literacy. Since earning my license and certification as a Musikgarten instructor in 2005, I have had the privilege of leading thousands of young children in joyful musical play in my own piano and Musikgarten studio, church and community.
I'm on a mission to help parents and children enjoy making music together! Here at Musik at Home I come alongside parents like you to help you incorporate music into every day life with your little one. I offer Musikgarten's developmentally sequenced classes along with curriculum I've developed by way of video to help you savor precious musical moments and give your child a solid foundation on the path to music literacy!
